12/11- new section
After
Today I continued working on Chapter 5; a particularly long and involved section. I came in early this morning to work on it, but by the time class started I realized I had made a major mistake and had to start the section over. I am currently on page 144. My goal was to reach Lesson 11, but I might have to drop that to Lesson 9... I am currently creating the pear. Today I learned about altering shapes using the direct selection tool (as well as others), and more about creating curved lines. (It makes a lot more sense to me today than it did yesterday.) To create an upward curve, you create an anchor point using the pen tool by clicking a desired position on your artboard. You then drag up on the handle that appears. Next, you click on the location you want for the next anchor point and drag the handle down. This relates to TEKS 7(b), following safety manuals, instructions, and requirements, and 9(b), developing a plan for completing a project, since I am currently having to plan for my semester presentation/essay and illustrator project.
