Today I will be working on the flowers project again. Yesterday I learned about the control panel(located at top) , tools panel(on the left), and the panels at the right. I learned how to access different tools through these panels and how to change their locations. I also learned about zooming in and out on your image and how to view it in different ways (ex: outline). Today I start with the section titled "Using the Zoom tool". I have completed the steps in the sections titled Scrolling through a document, Using the Navigator panel, Displaying the Help Contents, Using keywords, links, and the index, and Locating a topic using the index. (Tomorrow, I need to finish 'Exploring on your own'.)
One thing specifically that I learned was that you can keep a tool selected and use Zoom or the Hand tool at the same time by choosing your tool, positioning it in the artboard area, pressing Ctrl+spacebar (just spacebar for hand tool), and click or drag to see a higher magnification of the desired area of your artwork ( or drag to scroll to the area you want to see). I learned that the Navigator panel is used to quickly view different sizes of the artwork. (To reach it you go to Window, Navigator.) Now I know how to look things up in the help menu as well.
This relates to TEKS 4(b), conducting research and experimentation in computer technology, and 7(b), which includes following directions.
Ah, here's another one; working on the semester presentation with a partner relates to TEKS 18(b); using teamwork to solve problems.
