Today I read about Nichelle Narsisi's "Except You" campaign. It seems like a good idea; you hear all the time "you can make a difference ", but the idea that you cannot do something is more likely to catch your attention.
Several people gave their presentations today as well. I learned about how recycling electronics can help the environment and families who cannot afford new electronics. (I learned about different places you can take your electronics to for recycling too.) I also learned about open office software, which I really didn't know much about at all. Plus, I learned about different careers in technology, which relates to TEKS sections 17(A & B). Other related parts of TEKS include 2(E), describing roles of computer technology, and 11(B), describing how technology affects societies, individuals, etc.
