I just read about the furniture company Formway on the TreeHugger blog. It seems really cool; this company focuses on sustainability and being environmentally friendly, while creating lovely, aesthetically pleasing furniture. Also through TreeHugger, I read about Scott Specht's Zero House, a 650 sq. ft. home which generates it's own electricity from a canopy roof. Zero House collects it's own water in a 2,700 gallon cistern on it's roof and processes it's own waste using a composting system. Plus, I saw some really awesome shoes from Simple (shoes for a happy planet). What I did today relates to TEKS 4(A); reporting on emerging technologies.
